Editor’s Note: What follows is the partial text from the paper “Mission, But How?” by Rev. Dr. Eva Kadar Lukacsi (Miami) and Rev. Dr. Attila Kocsis (Perth Amboy) on the future of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America.

It contains a variety of valuable statistics and graphics to discuss the future of the Hungarian Reformed Church in the United States and offers suggestions regarding how to proceed in our Christian Mission.

The Hungarian Reformed Church in America faced quite a lot of hardships, tasks and challenges throughout its 82 year old history. It has not changed since then. We are to clarify the situation if we want to continue our mission, since we are not the people of withdrawal.

Az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyház több, mint 82 éves története során számos alkalommal nézett szembe nehéz helyzetekkel, kihivásokkal és megoldandó feladatokkal. Nincs ez most sem másképpen. Ha a jöv? útját akarjuk járni – mert nem vagyunk a meghátrálás emberei – tisztában kell lenni jelenlegi helyzetünkkel. Ez még mindig nem elég, hiszen ki kell t?zni azokat a megvalósitandó célokat, amik a szolgálatunk útjelz?i. Ezen felül pedig engedni kell, hogy az Isten Szent Lelke vezessen bennünket a helyes irányba.
